Over 67,000 New Toys, Shots and Meal Vouchers Given Away

at the 7th Annual Dolls for Daughters and Toys for Boys Toy Shop Denver non-profit organization Dolls For Daughters gave 66,786 toys, books, winter jackets and other items to 4,609 Colorado children in need at its 7th Annual Dolls For Daughters and Toys For Boys Toy Shop on December 3. Dolls For Daughters was founded by Jessica Bachus in 2007 in honor of her daughter Kenzi who was stillborn. It is now one of the state’s largest providers for underprivileged children during the holidays. This was the first year the Toy Shop expanded from Denver into Ft. Collins and Longmont, where more than 1,000 additional children were served between the two locations.“I feel so incredibly thankful toeveryone who made this year’s Toy Shops such overwhelming successes,” said Bachus, who also serves as executive director. “The generosity of more than 400 volunteers and dozens of sponsors has made a difference to the children and their families.
