After decades of volunteer service and professional contributions in the field of public relations, Sarah Thornton, APR was recognized the UNLV Greenspun College of Urban Affair’s Alumna of the Year Award on November 14, 2019. Among those, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, a four-time Emmy® and Screen Actors Guild honoree, government officials, and other esteemed professionals. Sarah was selected to receive this honor for her extensive work supporting local non-profits and advancing the field of public relations. Graduating in 1996, Sarah earned her bachelor’s in communications studies from UNLV. She worked in the field for 11 years before opening her firm – Sarah Thornton Public Relations.
